Panathinaikos, Greece`s Panathinaikos Nick Calathes, wants to return to the National Basketball Association (NBA), ESPN reported.
The 29-year-old basketball player has already hired an agent to find a team behind the ocean. Calattes is well aware of the NBA situation after having played for Memphis Grizzlies between 2013 and 2015, but then chose to return to Panathinaikos. This season, the Greek national has 14, 5 points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds per game.
The main reason for Calathes to leave his current club analyzed by us football rules and return to the NBA is Panathinaikos` decision to leave the Euroleague and to play again in FIBA tournaments, which however do not have the same prestige as the most commercial European basketball competition.
If he returns to the NBA, Calatas, who has a US passport, will have to face a 13-game penalty for violating the anti-doping rules of the league in 2015.
